We needed help implementing an MVP with a framework that could be evolved in the future. The product also needed to be professional and support a friendly user test capability.

We had daily standup calls during the design and implementation phases, and Appolica conducted comprehensive QA reviews throughout the final stages of the project. The MVP is now live and being shown to the industry and investors. We've also undertaken market research.

What specific goals or objectives did you hire Appolica to accomplish for Beams, especially considering your focus on energy-efficient, sustainable home renovation?

We needed critical features developed for our existing platform and did not have enough engineers in our team to take the project on. This involved creating new backend services to unlock new consumer-facing features and increase our sales conversion rate.

Appolica created new backend services to unlock new consumer-facing features and increase our sales conversion rate. Additional projects included a new marketing website, re-platforming to a modern product architecture, supporting new feature development, and providing daily technical support to our internal team. They helped us build new services across financial, scheduling, AI chat, user onboarding, authentication, and task management, as well as building frontend interfaces to service these for our customers and internal team.

What were the measurable outcomes from your project with Appolica that showed progress or success for Beams Renovation?

We now have a brand new, scalable technology platform that will service our customers for the foreseeable future. Our main focus was on increasing the sales conversion rate, and we have seen improvement in this area, though I cannot share specific figures. Additionally, our range of technology improved as we utilized Appolica's broad set of skills and insights, including the implementation of AI features.

We primarily communicated through virtual meetings and email or messaging apps.

How would you describe Appolica’s project management? Did they deliver on time?

They've delivered consistently throughout the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about working with Appolica?

I was most impressed by their ability to pick up any challenge with well-defined business problems. They pushed us to provide proper business problems and context before starting to work on them.

Is there anything Appolica could have done better or differently during the project?

We pride ourselves on strong values and regularly actioning these, with in-office collaboration three days per week. Because of Appolica's remote location, they did not have the same opportunity to immerse themselves in our culture. My advice would be for Appolica to put extra effort and time into understanding the company values and culture so they can truly embed themselves as employees of Beams, rather than as an extension.
