We worked together from August–September 2024. However, we'll do some ongoing work with Brand Vision.

They exceeded our expectations and did a great job. We’re getting a better conversion rate, and we’ll continue to work with them. Although we still need to work on technical SEO and other aspects internally, our company has managed to hit $1 million CAD in sales without any spending on marketing or advertising. 

How did Brand Vision perform from a project management standpoint?

They delivered the project on time and within budget. They communicated extremely well with us. We used Asana, Zoom, phone calls, and emails. Additionally, we used their development software and used Google Drive for many of the projects.

Brand Vision designed and developed our website from scratch using Figma and Webflow. We had a base design and logo the team used, and we conceptualized the site's design together. We provided the team with an outline that another web developer had put together and examples of websites I liked in terms of animation and style, as well as some of our competitors' sites. From there, Brand Vision gave us a couple of design options, and we worked from there to build it out.

I worked with four teammates from Brand Vision, including designers and developers. I was mostly in contact with two team leads.

Brand Vision successfully launched our website, and we had a successful engagement. Although the site was recently launched, we already received positive feedback, significant engagement, and excellent brand awareness overall. Brand Vision's work met our expectations.

The project was delayed due to us. Brand Vision was quick and responsive and could launch the site earlier. The project scope was a 12-week plan, but we had delays on our end. Brand Vision met our budget and communicated well via phone calls, emails, Zoom, and text messages towards the end of the project. We collaborated through Asana and Figma for project management.

It will feature visually appealing elements to deliver an inviting and immersive user experience. The new website will have 6 custom page designs and 8 subpages. It will be designed and developed to display all aspects of the website and services. 
Brand Vision's UX/UI designers will create the most optimal user experience and interface for the best client engagement. To add additional pages to the scope of the project, the fee will be $1,900 CAD per custom page. Brand Vision will integrate Google Analytics into the new site to enhance tracking and provide insights into visitor behaviour/performance. Engagement features for major social media platforms will be incorporated for seamless client interaction. 
Brand Vision will integrate a translation plugin for bilingual functionality on the website (English and French). Brand Vision will provide support in copywriting for the website by completing the technical on-page SEO set-up of the website. Brand Vision will prioritize swift loading times through image optimization and efficient caching methods, enhancing both user experience, bounce rate and SEO performance. Brand Vision will recommend the ideal CMS for this website and make hosting suggestions if needed. 
The website will be optimized for every screen size and ratio and there will be a separate mobile design. Testing and quality assurance are included with all Brand Vision projects. We came to the group with our branding and some rough creative. We requested help from the team to review and enhance the creative we had put together for each page. We requested help to integrate a 3rd party booking platform in to our website for our customers to be able to both book games, and purchase items such as t shirts, gift cards, etc.

Lastly, we requested that the team build the website to be responsive across a majority of devices and include some fun lightweight animations. This all needed to be done on a platform that was easy to use and update by our team once the website was handed over.

The primary deliverables for this project was elevated branding and the launch of a new site. We wanted this project to be very collaborative and tasked Brand Vision with bringing our ideas to life, while offering their expertise and suggestions throughout each stage of the project.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In working with Brand Vision, we successfully built and launched a new website that showcased fresh branding while still staying true to our parent organization's look-and-feel. Through this project, we were able to:

• establish our own unique look-and-feel
• modernize our branding
• speak more effectively to each our our key stakeholders
• restructure the layout of our site and how information was presented
• elevate our user experience
• seamlessly integrate the various external tools and platforms we use
• resolve the pain points of our previous website
• establish better data collection for the site and our user's journey
• stay within budget without compromising our goals

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Working with Brand Vision was an outstanding experience. The team was very hands on and willing to make the edits and changes we requested to the initial design. All items were delivered on time and they followed up as needed when we had outstanding deliverables or approvals. Throughout the process, Brand Vision was very patient with us, adjusting the project's timeline as needed so we never felt rushed.

The team was extremely flexible and accommodating throughout, maintaining constant communication through email and phone check-ins. Issues were brought to our attention immediately so they could be resolved in a timely manor. Brand Vision was with us every step of the way to ensure our needs were being met and that we were satisfied. They made us feel like we were their top priority and that they were ready and willing to support with whatever we needed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Brand Vision's excitement for our project made them an amazing organization to work with. We always felt like our project mattered and that they cared about it as much as we did. Their team was available whenever we needed them and kept in constant communication with us throughout. Their dedication to us and our needs was outstanding and really elevated our experience working with them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Brand Vision could have done differently?

Our organization works best when using a work-back plan or task management system to track deliverable due dates. Because the DFS Toronto team is small and we had conflicting projects happening at the same time, we could have benefitted from a detailed task schedule to ensure we did not fall behind on providing Brand Vision with the content or information they required to continue their work.

My only feedback for Brand Vision would be to use a project / task management tool to build out a work-back plan with clear due dates for the companies they work with. This would ensure projects stay on track and limited delays occur. I would also suggest scheduling check-ins throughout the project to make adjustments to the scope or timeline as needed.
