Detailed Scope of Work:
We initially engaged Chili Labs for a focused design and UX/UI project for our new mobile application, 'pugg'. Our goal was to create an intuitive and engaging user experience for our microlearning platform.

As our collaboration began, we were impressed with Chili Labs' technical expertise and their clear understanding of our product vision. The initial design phase transitioned smoothly into a much broader engagement. The scope of work evolved from purely design to the complete, end-to-end development of the 'pugg' application from the ground up.

This expanded scope meant Chili Labs took full ownership of the technical development, using the Flutter framework to build a cross-platform application. Their responsibilities included:

Initial Discovery and Design: Comprehensive UX/UI design, including wireframing, user flow mapping, and high-fidelity mockups.
Full-Stack Flutter Development: Translating the approved designs into a fully functional and scalable mobile application. This involved all aspects of the front-end development.
Feature Implementation: Building out the core features of our microlearning platform as specified in our project requirements.

While the project took some time to complete and the final delivery was rather abrupt (missing some sorely needed documentation and user guide to the codebase), the quality of the end product is high and meets our expectations for a market-ready application. 
Overall, despite some challenges in the delivery process, Chili Labs successfully transformed our vision from a design concept into a tangible, functioning product that we are happy with.

While the overall project timeline extended longer than initially anticipated and the final delivery process felt somewhat abrupt, their team was responsive to our core requirements throughout the development process. They successfully navigated the significant change in scope to deliver a product that aligned with our ultimate goals.

Perhaps most impressive was their clear proficiency with Flutter-based application building, which resulted in a high-quality final product.

The main thing I was missing on delivery, was a comprehensive documentation to-go with the codebase, meaning I had to figure out almost everything myself, including the logical structure of the codebase. There were also a thing or two I had to change in retrospect to make the database structure make sense, giving errors in the multiplayer part of the app.

We provided a basic Figma mockup of our desired mobile app. This mockup was missing many of the screens that were needed in the app, and also included a large amount of future work that was out of scope for the initial release. Chili helped us narrow down what should be included in the first release, and helped us scope future releases. 
Chili's designers were able to expand on our mockup to include all necessary screens, error states, and UI elements needed for the app. Our internal marketing team updated our branding guidelines while the app was being developed. Chili was able to quickly adjust the mockup to meet the new brand standards. They also created custom icons that fit the colors and look/feel of our brand. 
Chili made recommendations on UX that deviated from the original mockup but ultimately provided a better experience. Chili's developers were able to take the mockup and create a cross-platform app using Flutter. They regularly pushed code to our company GitHub repo, set up TestFlight to allow our internal team to see progress, and walked us through the app publishing process for Google and Apple.

App was accepted into the Google Play and Apple App Stores. The app has had a 10% adoption rate with our current customers in the first 2 weeks after launch. 4.7% of our current customers are daily active users (DAU) of the app. The app provides several self-service options to reduce workload for our team members. We've seen a drop in customer support call and text volume.

We were assigned a PM. The project was managed primarily through Slack and weekly Zoom calls. Chili was flexible in meeting the communication needs and desires of my team, with most communication going through our PM. We faced a significant time zone difference (7 hours) but this never seemed to get in the way of communication. They were quick to respond to any questions, and set clear expectations on when issues would be addressed. Items were completed on time, and often sooner than expected. The project launch was smooth and issue free.

Klix is a one-stop-shop where merchants can get all e-commerce payment methods with only one integration. We provide card payments, biggest bank multilink payments and a lending platform where users can sign loans fully digitally within 5 minutes, all while still in merchants' e-store.

On top of mentioned above, Klix also offers users to save card and bank account data in Klix profile. This allows users to pay quicker and more securely. No need to fill in manual data or to share it with the merchant. To maintain a place where to store payment data, Klix users use a mobile application where they can add multiple debit and credit cards.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• There were multiple small features added and bugs fixed but the main improvements came from the designer as we had weekly meetings and ongoing design improvements.

We didn't have problems with communication. We mostly used Slack and could get in touch with them at any point of day and get a response within an half an hour of the request.

Most impressive was the fact that Chili employees took ownership of the project and tried to suggest improvements wherever they saw them. Other companies would have just done exactly what was requested but, with the help of their expertise, we managed to get better results than expected.

A backend solution would be a nice bonus, because it would be much easier to operate if everything happened in one company.
