AlmaBound's website is intended to be a one stop shop where anyone can go and support their university. We use affiliate links from various retailers nationwide and reroute the majority of our sales comission to the university of the user's choice. We also assist small businesses in setting up affiliate programs. We collect data on purchases at a user-level and also track other metrics.

Key Deliverables:

• Website with great UX where fans can easily create an account, support the school of their choice, choose whether they prefer their money to support Academic or Athletic initiatives, and then browse stores/products in a way that's personalized to their university
• Easy site maintenence for Admin, allowing ease when adding new stores, products, schools, etc.
• Visible database that tracks important user metrics
• ***A way to link user purchases to their AlmaBound account. (ex. someone goes from our site to a store and buys something. The Affiliate platform that runs that store's affiliate tracking gets the data. We needed a way to idetify WHO BOUGHT WHAT so that the proper user gets credited for the purchase)
• Live/rapid updates for user activity that is displayed on website for users to see (user count, fundraising progress, etc.)
• Create business accouunt section where Small Businesses can create a profile.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• Website functions as expected (although not complete and likely will have maintence for a while)
• Deploy Studios team has been able to complete most asks without too much delay even if they weren't sure how
• Clear communication from developer team on progress, issues, expectations
• Developer team willing to be flexible in terms of asks, meaning as we've gone we've decided to do new things that weren't originally outlined, team has been very accomidating

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

They deliver most items on time, and are normally clear with timelines if there are any issues. I try and keep a backlog of items so they always have something to work on, and for the most part it gets done in a timely manner.

What was your primary form of communication with Deploy Studio?

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was impressed with their flexibility. There are elements of this Projet that I'm sure were outside of their expertise but the developers have learned as they've gone. It might take a while, but as someone without developer experience I have ideas and I'm not sure about the logistics and how possible it is, but they normally figure it out and make it work.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Deploy Studio could have done differently?

Communication could be a bit better. There is a significant time difference between Deploy Studio and us here in the US so there are only a few hours of the day when we are both in "work hours", which can sometimes make communication difficult. They're very good at responding to asks. I would just appreciate more updates without reminders. They'll go dark for a few days and I won't hear anything.

Could also be more clear on timelines from beginning of a topic. If I add a new feature as a "to do item", let me know a rough estimate of how long it will be before I can expect it so I can inform the team on expectations, and we can correlate marketing efforts to be more efficient.

Deploy Studios took on the project of refining our current native app and redesigning our UX/UI with their designer using Figma. From there, the dev team created a new build with the new interface, and we started a collaborative approach to testing, which we are about to wrap up as we prepare for launch!

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

At each step of the way, before proceeding, they were super receptive to feedback and updates, allowing each phase to begin aligned. My team is very happy with the new design and excited to finish the final phasing of testing the new build as our userbase is excited for the new features that Deploy Studios helped design and implement. Very happy overall with the outcome and team assigned!

We have open communication and frequent alignment calls on needs and expectations, both ways, which I really like because it feels very team-like rather than pure delegation, which shows their intent for client satisfaction. Some items took longer than expected but that's partly due to additional requests on our end. They always have a good attitude if our needs change, which we appreciate.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Deploy Studio's value for cost is very strong. You will be working with professional designers, project managers, and devs for a much lower rate than comparable agencies. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Deploy Studio could have done differently?

Nothing stands out as a significant area for improvement I'm just hopeful that once our new app is released to the public, we will find ways for Deploy Studios to integrate with our current dev so it won't be siloed, but I'm confident we will make it work.

The project resulted in a clearly defined product direction, including a structured app concept, clarified feature set, and a realistic development pathway. I left the process with a much stronger understanding of scope, feasibility, and next steps, which allowed me to move forward with confidence and avoid costly missteps.

Overall, the engagement significantly reduced uncertainty around the build process and helped establish a solid foundation for the next phase of development.

Project management was clear and well organised throughout. Timelines were communicated clearly, and everything that was promised was delivered as expected. Any questions or clarifications were handled promptly, which made the process feel efficient and low stress.

Beverly was particularly great to work with, she was responsive, pleasant, and very on top of details. She made it easy to get answers quickly and ensured things kept moving smoothly, which made a big difference to the overall experience.

What stood out most was their ability to simplify what can be a very overwhelming process, especially for someone without a technical background. They took the time to really listen, explain options clearly, and offer practical advice rather than pushing unnecessary complexity.

The team felt approachable and supportive throughout, and the balance between technical knowledge and clear communication made the experience feel collaborative rather than intimidating.

There were no major areas for improvement. The process was well managed and expectations were clear from the outset. Any questions or clarifications were handled promptly, which made the overall experience smooth.
