I’m the founder of PostMarket, an online marketplace for sponsored posts for social media creators.

What challenge were you trying to address with DevDec?

We needed DevDec to design and develop our online platform.

What was the scope of their involvement?

DevDec designed and developed our online platform. They created wireframes and conducted a tech stack analysis. The team developed the front end, back end, and admin panel. They also fixed bugs and provided ongoing maintenance. Key features included user onboarding, social media connection, payment splitting and acceptance, a referral program, user ID verification, and buyer/seller user type onboarding.

What is the team composition?

We worked with 2–5 teammates from DevDec.

How did you come to work with DevDec?

We found them through an online search. We chose them because they had high ratings, were close to our geographic location, had pricing that fit our budget, had a great culture fit, and had company values that aligned with ours.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January 2022–February 2023.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We tracked the milestones for design and development. We only worked with them for development, so the metrics were related to which key functions were developed and when.

How did DevDec perform from a project management standpoint?

DevDec delivered on time and on budget. They were very good, flexible, understanding, and creative. We communicated via in-person meetings, virtual meetings, and email or messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were very reliable, creative, smart, and flexible.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing we can come up with.

What specific goals or objectives did you hire DevDec to accomplish?

• we had an app already in the works but it just wasn’t going well. things were broken, progress was slow, and it didn’t feel solid. so we brought in DevDec to help us fix it up and make it something we’d actually be proud to launch. we needed both android + ios ready to go.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

i basically gave them a list of all the stuff that needed fixing  bugs, slow loading, broken parts, ui issues. They looked at our flutter code and said yeah we can work with this.
What’s cool is they didn’t just do what we asked  they came up with better ideas too. fixed stuff we didn’t even notice, improved the payment stuff, cleaned up the design and just made the whole thing smoother and better to use. They really owned it like it was their own project. Now we’re already talking about working with them again. They’re kinda our tech team now.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We’re almost ready to launch the app on app store + play store. what we have now is way better than what we started with. like it’s faster, more stable, actually looks good. What surprised me most is they worked with our old code instead of starting over, which saved us time and money. Most devs don’t wanna do that. We tested it internally and yeah, it works great. Can’t wait to hear what users think when it’s live.

really smooth. they used jira to track stuff and kept us updated every week without us having to ask. clear reports, timelines, and if something came up they handled it.
We talked on slack and email mostly, and if something needed more explaining we jumped on a call. super easy to work with.

What was your primary form of communication with DevDec?

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

they actually care. not just trying to finish and move on. they asked good questions, shared smart ideas, and you could tell they wanted the app to be great. Also always around when we needed them. That alone makes them better than 90% of devs out there.

Are there any areas for improvement or something DevDec could have done differently?

nah nothing major really. If i had to say something maybe a little more docs at the end would’ve helped, but overall they were great. We’d def work with them again.
