We engaged Karan following what appeared to be a sudden and significant drop in website traffic on our large, content-heavy digital news platform (5,000+ articles). The initial concern was whether we were facing a technical issue, analytics misconfiguration, or an SEO-related decline.

Karan began by conducting a thorough technical audit of the site, investigating hosting configuration, performance bottlenecks, crawlability issues, indexing behaviour, and on-page SEO structure. He helped us distinguish between perceived analytics discrepancies and genuine technical weaknesses in the infrastructure.

The scope of work evolved into a structured technical improvement plan, which included:

• Upgrading server infrastructure and PHP version
• Implementing advanced caching and performance optimisation
• Offloading media and optimising image delivery
• Strengthening security and server configuration

Search visibility increased from 49.99% to 63.89%, reflecting a substantial improvement in organic search presence after technical and on-page SEO enhancements.
The project also significantly improved site speed, stability, and technical health, while establishing a far stronger SEO foundation for long-term growth.

The website moved from trailing its primary competitor to leading in overall search visibility, reaching 63.89% visibility compared to the competitor’s 52.32%.

Semrush reported a +10.2% visibility growth compared to the previous period for the client during the campaign period, confirming strong and sustained improvement in competitive search performance.

DigmLabs’ project management was excellent throughout, with clear timelines and every agreed task delivered on schedule.

I worked directly with Karan: Communication was consistent and proactive – he provided regular updates on what he was working on, explained technical decisions clearly, and flagged potential issues before they became problems. He was highly responsive whenever I had questions or concerns, and adjustments were handled quickly and professionally.

Despite the technical complexity of the work (infrastructure changes, media offloading, SEO restructuring, performance optimisation), everything was implemented methodically and with minimal disruption to the live site.

He balanced speed with care, which was particularly important given that we are a live news publication and downtime or instability was not an option.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impressed me most about DigmLabs was their ability to combine deep technical capability with a genuinely collaborative working style. My direct contact throughout the project was Karan, and he led the work with both strategic insight and hands-on technical expertise.

From the outset, the team looked beyond surface-level SEO metrics and evaluated the entire technical ecosystem — hosting infrastructure, server configuration, performance, security and crawlability. That holistic thinking shifted the project from reactive troubleshooting to structured, long-term improvement. Importantly, the technical decisions were never made in isolation; there was always a clear awareness of the commercial impact. Recommendations were grounded not just in best practice, but in how they would strengthen the site’s long-term value, visibility and sustainability as a business.

Equally important was how the work was delivered. Communication was clear, patient and ego-free. No question ever felt too basic, and complex technical decisions were explained in a way that enabled informed, confident choices. That openness created genuine trust and a strong sense of teamwork. Because the working relationship was collaborative rather than transactional, we were able to refine priorities and ultimately achieve better results.

At this stage, I genuinely don’t have any areas for improvement to highlight. The scope was delivered exactly as agreed, communication was excellent throughout, and expectations were managed clearly from the outset.
