Despite the tight deadline that InvoZone’s team had to meet, they stayed in touch, communicating each and everything throughout the project. As the first step, they thoroughly researched the market as they consider it a crucial step in developing a mobile application. The next step was to build the wireframe and design to make it user-friendly.

Next came the development process that involved coding and testing to make it 100% bug-free. The last step was to deploy the app in the app store. Their effective communication made the final product according to our needs and requirements, saving us from the disappointment of not liking the final product. They used the following technologies to develop our healthcare app; React, Python and Angular.

They use an agile approach as their project management style. The main communication tools used include Slack, Zoom, and Google Meets, making the overall communication quite smooth and effective.

The most impressive thing about this company is its time management and effective communication.

I don’t believe there are any areas for improvement since everything was delivered to us according to our needs. Their sense of professionalism and dedication to their work makes them the perfect choice overall.

I’m the CEO and founder of Muzmind, a health technology startup focused on providing healthcare solutions to Muslims across the globe.

What challenge were you trying to address with InvoZone?

We hired InvoZone to help us build our platform.

What was the scope of their involvement?

InvoZone developed our platform on iOS and Android; it also had a web version. The app also had guided meditation content, and it let users speak to the broader community to get peer-to-peer solutions in terms of mental health and wellbeing. 

Moreover, they developed a feature where users could seek help from qualified psychotherapists and psychiatrists over the phone or within the app through video sessions. They developed the app from scratch using React Native.

We worked with a project manager, a customer support manager, a project coordinator, and their whole development team. In total, we collaborated with 7–8 people.

InvoZone approached us through LinkedIn and offered their services. I liked them because they were proactive; their portfolio was also quite strong. On top of that, their pricing was highly competitive. The team’s approach was professional, and they provided realistic timelines. That was why we hired them.

The engagement lasted from June–October 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

One of our key metrics of success was the end users’ feedback — they loved it. From a technology point of view, the app was secure. InvoZone was also cost-effective; they delivered the project at $7,500, while we had quotations of $25,000–$60,000 from others. Finally, they met our deadlines. 

How did InvoZone perform from a project management standpoint?

To communicate, we had a Slack channel where we interacted with each other. We also had weekly calls, where we discussed project details. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The engagement was professionally managed, especially in terms of setting timelines. We missed some deadlines, but that was because of delays in the delivery of information from outside sources. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there weren’t any. There would always be room for improvement, but in this particular project, the InvoZone team was truly good. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be ready in advance and try as much as you can to deliver the required information to InvoZone quickly. A lot of times, they come back to us needing permission to access certain information and we’re not ready. Similarly, work closely with their developers and ask them to provide the maximum amount of information to you in terms of the project’s progress. That way, you won’t waste time.

We kicked off the project to describe our vision for the website. We provided a detailed wireframe and creative layout files for them to develop the website. The website included a login page with a registration section for 2 different groups; General Practitioners or Pharmacists. This would lead you to the corresponding website. The same creative was used for each creative. Each website included faculty information, slides, and a page for a quiz.

The site was very nicely designed and all the functionality worked well.

The team often liked to have virtual meetings to discuss any updates or changes to the website. They communicated very promptly to our request over email and Slack and stayed on top of timelines.

We were very impressed with how fast they delivered the website. It was quite complex and we had many comments and changes along the way, however the team turned around changes very quickly for our review.

There were some minor bugs and fixes along the way, however, they did a great job of fixing them in a timely manner.

With their support we were able to continue work on features and fix the technical debt that was building behind the systems. This allowed for an increase in page score and SEO, while making it easier and faster to develop new features.

The goal was to always have the developers be a part of the team. They participated in the daily standups and biweekly planning and demo meetings. We utilized our existing Jira/Bitbucket/Slack dev flow

Time difference is always an issue. Initially there were issues with internet connectivity speeds, but it was rectified by the company.

During the initial stages of our startup, we found it really hard to hire developers on a budget to help us develop our platform. Plus since it was just a start, we couldn’t afford to pay a team every month. InvoZone delivered what we were looking for on a budget and within a time crunch. They developed a user-friendly front end and back end. Additionally, they provided us regular support after the deployment stage as well.

They adopted an agile project management approach. The dedicated project manager ensured that the requirements are clearly defined and communicated among team members. Due to agile methodology, the project was delivered on time, and also any bugs in the system were fixed as soon as possible. The team’s response time was very quick. They were not only proactive but also very cooperative. All in all, we were very pleased with the professionalism the team showed.

They could find solutions to problems as quickly as possible without disturbing the scope. Also, we were really impressed with how they have kept us in the loop at every stage of the development process. Moreover, they valued our feedback and acted upon it to the best of their abilities.

Furqan and his team helped us to identify several areas of improvement to our codebase, so we focussed on those first. As we brought in new features, we slowly increased the size of the team. Right now, we are working in sprints and continuously releasing to iterate on our product and improve it every day.

Intially we had a lead front and back end, with 2 mid-weight developers below them along with a QA and PM. We've now added an extra front end, back end and full stack developer to the team.

We have launched both iOS and Android versions of our product and we are starting to gain significant traction.

They have been very generous with their time, going above and beyond in several instances and being very forgiving due to the nature of us being a start-up and the challenges that entails. The quality of their code is excellent on what is a complicated product.
