What were your goals for this project?

We were getting done this for our client, this is basically to sell different brands of shoes from a single place. The website provides different language and multi-currency option which is to target users from all parts of the World. The client's main goal is to target audience over the globe who is interested to buy shoes online, website and app offer them a multi-brand store with the multi-vendor option with bulk purchasing offer as well. It's basically a complete Shoe eCommerce platform.

We found them on Google, we found them responsible and skilled. They showed us wireframe and prototypes which cover all our requirement. We got a cost estimate within our budget as well.

We got done the eCommerce website for Shoes selling and Android App from Next Big Technology. They did excellent work with our Website and Android App. Which suggests they are skilled with Website Development and Android App Development Services. We worked with their designers as well they provided creative designs for both Website and App.

We were in communication with 4 developers. One Graphic Designer, One Website Developer, one Android App Developer and one project manager to manage complete projects.

It will increase customer sell, he can directly reach customers all over the World. The website and App will help to increase the customer base and sell.

It was all properly planned. We were shown all the designs and wireframes before the start of work, which helped us to organize our requirements. They planned and processed each step as per plan and as per milestones.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Very effective communication. We asked them to change things quite a few times, and they always did it without protest or extra cost. They were always available for chat and call and very responsive through out the work.

They can work more on the testing part.

We wanted to develop an ERP/ Data Analytics platform for our clients based on predictive analytics/ Pattern Matching. That took over an existing running software solution in PHP. The project means, we need to install a new system, without hurting the current operations.

The goals of the project were to deploy and develop new software package over the old one, ensuring no operation problems to the existing clients. Also, we need to ensure the new software to be tested religiously, so there won't be any problem during the implementation stage. Remember, we were deploying the software over existing running software.

We needed a strong technical team; who can understand the old software database architects and navigation; And also the current requirement based on analytics and BI we needed. NBT not only helped us to feel comfortable; but also ensure hassle-free implementation; and ensure us no downtime when the new software would be implemented over old.

Once the project started; we created the database schema of the old running software; Developed the requirement of database schema of new. Also, The team helped us to discover ways to implement our BI and Analytics through various add ons and frameworks in PHP. The team also educated us what problems we may face during implementing new software over old. There thorough risk analysis and the solution helped us taking the project forward.

The team consists of a Project Manager, 3 developers, and one app developer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The new software was given to us within 3 months, and deployed within 2 months. All the risk were covered; and we were ensured a team of 5 developers working for 2 weeks; for any errors which may arise during deployment.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The Project manager and team we were working were comfortable, and more importantly kept us and our client on comfort while deploying the new solution over the old. Minor hassle/errors were quickly resolved; and for major the timeline were given ; which they adhered to.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Comfort with the PHP environment and able to diffuse the pressure situation. We were impressed by their positive attitude and solution orientation during rapid changes (after agreeing on the scope of work). They charged us a nominal fee over the extra work they did. that was good and helped us kept our work under budget.

Speed and Quality of work were important, and we were supplied. So no areas to improve.

Communication was fairly good, especially given the language barrier. The project progressed at a good pace because Next Big Technology was responsive to ideas, open to making changes, and able to follow directions.

The project didn't meet our initial time frame because their estimate of time needed was too low. The delay could have been avoided by making sure they fully understood the scope of the project in advance.

With the range of projects that we have, we can’t specialize in all jobs. We were looking for a partner to take on some of the work.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They worked on a client’s web application, based in WordPress, with custom PHP, HTML, and JavaScript coding. It took about six months to develop—I gave them the requirements, which we discussed to give them an idea of the designs we wanted. I worked with their engineers on an almost daily basis.

The app matches makeup artists with clients. Users register on the app and enter the categories they’re interested in, their geographical locations, and price ranges. A client can search the makeup artists, and the matching will begin.

I believe they assigned two senior engineers and various junior engineers. I had a primary point of contact.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I assign them any project that I can’t take on myself because I’m too busy. Because of that, the collaboration has allowed me to take on additional work.

The functionality and reliability of their deliverables are good, but those depend on the engineer I’m working with, some of whom require close supervision. Some of their members are really capable.

How did Next Big Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

They performed well. It’s easy to get in touch with their team, and we speak daily during more complex projects. We’ve used Slack and Trello for that.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate their communication. They respond to me really well, and we work well together as a team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It all depends on the level of engineer that I’m assigned. Some can be fantastic, while others don’t perform at as high a standard.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Make sure the requirements are clear. I’ve worked with clients whose conditions were ambiguous, which extends the development time.
