• Test firmware was also developed for PCB-level validation to ensure correct hardware integration and functionality before full vehicle-level testing.
• The project focused on adapting existing safety-critical BMS firmware for a new electric vehicle platform. The firmware supports multiple battery variants and hardware revisions.
• Safe charging is ensured during both plug-in charging and energy recuperation. Power maps are integrated to control charge and discharge limits under all operating conditions. The Insulation Monitoring Device (IMD) is continuously monitored, and insulation faults are detected and handled safely.
• Robust error handling is implemented with deterministic safety reactions. Faults and diagnostics are reported via CAN using SDOs and PDOs. Reliable interaction with the on-board charger (OBC) and other vehicle systems is maintained.
• The firmware integrates multiple low-level drivers and application-level control logic. It was validated through internal safety-critical testing.

All primary deliverables were achieved earlier than expected. We also had a few hardware failures on our end which the team were quick to diagnose and fix saving us valuable time and resources.

The Oxeltech team works at a high professional level - on the one hand. On the other hand, Oxeltech was also able to develop great passion and enthusiasm for Vintecal beyond its professional approach. This, in turn, led Vintecal to see Oxeltech as part of Vintecal. And so Vintecal itself did everything possible to make the collaboration a success. This means that Vintecal and Oxeltech have grown together in a unique way in a short period of time - a fantastic experience.

Achieved stable MQTT communication with AWS (>95% uptime), reliable OTA updates, deep sleep current <200 µA for solar-powered use, sensor accuracy within ±0.5 °C, and IP65-level waterproofing for outdoor deployment.

Can you describe the scope of work Oxeltech GmbH handled for your biometric access control and time tracking systems project? 

Oxeltech GmbH set up an embedded Linux build system with specific requirements for a specified CPU, including a custom application. The team built the system for a dedicated CPU, and the custom application was ported to that platform.
