I was impressed that they provided video tutorials and concise explanations at each step of the way, and I'm sure this is even more useful for clients who aren't as tech-savvy or don't have a digital background.

They completed the project within a reasonable amount of time and I really appreciated the personalized hand-off documentation.

The team did a great job of providing updates and estimated time frames they would need to complete each task. We communicated using gmail.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were very transparent throughout every step of the development process and even offered free resources for certain website features that we'd normally need to pay a fee or subscription for.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There were and are still some very minor bugs on the mobile version of the site. During development, they were very responsive to fixing these issues, however it'd be next-level helpful if they perhaps explained or gave resources on how to fix these types of bugs ourselves to save time and make the hand-off even feel more complete.

A big thanks to Sven and the team at The Free Website Guys for making my website and taking me along on the journey with clear guidance and communication all the way. I am not tech savvy at all, which is why I needed their help and guidance. Sven was very good at explaining the pros and cons of different technical aspects in regard to setting up a website. I would never have started this project on my own, but their skills and knowledge made the building of my website a manageable and effortless project for me.

When your website is done, they even provide you with a handover video, showing you how to make changes to your site yourself, which I highly appreciate, as this was an aspect I was concerned about too. I can highly recommend these guys and I am extremely grateful that they wanted to help me!

Sven always responded pretty quickly even though I was a bit slow at times due to work etc. The communication and progress was clear.

Their knowledge and recommendations for me. Without them, it would've been hard for us to make the best choices in terms of the technical aspects of the website.

They provided me with regular, itemized updates so that I know exactly what changes were done on my website. I was in need of a Wordpress website for my new travel business. I’ve been in the travel industry for over 20 years and with the craziness of this year (I’ve been furloughed since March) I’m diving into being an entrepreneur and building my own travel brand and business focusing on active & adventure, and transformational travel.

I have a lot of experience in the travel industry- none in building my own website. Travel is going to come back and I want to be ready for it. A very important part of setting myself up for success is a beautiful website that inspires travel.

The instructions given were clear, concise and very easy to follow. The whole process was seamless, I was never left wondering what was going on- they always kept me in the loop.

The final product of my website exceeded expectations. I am so happy and excited to have the professional looking website that they built for me- excellent in every way. I am so thankful! I would not hesitate to work with The Free Website Guys again, the whole team is exceptional.

I chanced to know The Free Websites Guys from a post on the Expats in Italy group on Facebook. They were offering the FREE web designing service for the chosen website idea applications.

It came to me as a unique opportunity to start my business idea, so I decided to send them an application with the hope that they will like my idea. A couple of days later, I received a congratulation email that my idea got chosen and we started to work together for roughly two months.

What was the team composition?

Sven was my main contact point. He always uses his kindness and patience to guide me to different steps of the process. Whenever I have some doubt or stuck between options, he will step in and sincerely show me the preferred options based on his experiences.

I don't see much the money-purposed activities but rather than a genuine willingness to support his clients when they are in trouble.

Now my website is in the last step: completing the content. This has nothing to do with them, but rather the actions needed from my side and get it launched. I'm thankful for all the kind and professional support from Sven and The Free Website Guys team.

Creating a web store is something that I knew I couldn't do on my own. I explained what I needed, and how and wanted it to look, and the team did the rest, keeping me up to date every step of the way.

I was initially introduced to Sven who became my main contact and walked me through the process. He wrote an Email to me a minimum of once or twice a week, and made sure I was aware of every step and had complete control over any design decisions.

I have only just begun to add my own content to the website, but I am very pleased so far and looking forward to seeing where it takes me!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I was personally in contact with the same person throughout the entire project. I was extremely pleased with the communications between the two of us, and greatly appreciated that only one person was handling my case and didn't need to deal with explaining things to a different person every time.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I, of course, was thrilled with the price point of this service, but the thing I appreciated the most was that Sven never made me feel silly or stupid for not understanding the "tech lingo" or for asking if he could walk me through certain processes.

I really couldn't say that I was unhappy with anything the team did during this project.

The Free Website Guys built my website from the ground up. I had a clear vision for my company and the website was an integral part to Eventing Together's official launching. I envisioned a colourful, easy to navigate website with a friendly feel.

The Free Website Guys take on a couple of 'free' clients. I applied for this channel with my startup idea, and was accepted to move forward in the process. This allowed me to spend money on the website theme, domain and other startup costs.

The Free Website Guys supported me in setting up everything from a domain, host, WordPress account, BlueHost account, etc. Each step was clearly laid out for me in email or in a step-by-step video by Sven and his team. At the end of the project, I was given a handover video which made the transition process seamless.

I believe three people. Sven Nilsen, the lead developer, was my point of contact. Some of the step-by-step videos were done by others who I am assuming were developers as well!

Once I had officially launched the website, there were 86% New Visitors and 14% Returning Visitors. I was very pleased with the number of views just in the first day and visitors were averaging 1 minute and 32 seconds on the site - which is great considering the website content I have put in is just bare bones for the time being.

All communication was over email. Very professional and welcoming spirit.

The handover video is VERY helpful, as I am not super familiar with WordPress. The Free Website Guys showed me exactly how to edit content and add my logo, etc.

Email response time could be quicker, however, they were building a free website, so no complaining here!
